DOCILE

Welsh Black cattle through long and close association with people are a docile breed by nature.  The Morlais herd have built on this by rigorously rejecting any bull calf showing signs of aggression when handled.  The breeding females and young stock are very quiet when sensitively handled.  However because they are such good mothers a normally quiet cow has to be respected at calving and suitable precautions taken if handling is necessary.
